Why choose us?
Nestled on Worimi land in the peaceful and picturesque seaside town of Tea Gardens, Tea Gardens Public School is a warm and welcoming Kindergarten to Year 6 primary school. As a proud part of the strong NSW public education system, we celebrate diversity and warmly welcome students from all backgrounds and cultures. Our school is a vibrant heart of the communities of Tea Gardens, Hawks Nest, and surrounding areas, where we cherish and nurture close partnerships with local community groups and organisations.
Our Vision:
We strive to be a high-performing school that inspires excellence through strong community partnerships, equitable learning opportunities, and a positive, inclusive culture that values wellbeing, respect, and achievement.
With a close-knit student community of around 120 to 160 enthusiastic learners across six to seven classes, our school embraces diversity—25-30% of our students identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, and 7-10% come from non-English speaking backgrounds (EALD). We are committed to unlocking every child’s potential through tailored enrichment programs that support all learners, including those who are high potential and gifted.
Our beautiful campus offers a welcoming and inspiring environment, featuring spacious play areas, a tranquil rainforest space, vibrant native gardens, and a student-managed vegetable patch that encourages hands-on learning and responsibility. At Tea Gardens Public School, every student is known, valued, and cared for deeply. We empower our students to have a voice through our active student parliament, ensuring their ideas and perspectives help shape our school community and learning experiences.
Choosing Tea Gardens Public School means joining a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic community dedicated to nurturing your child’s growth, wellbeing, and success every step of the way.
